10-min Deadlifting
Sarah Walls
Have you ever taken the approach to [weight] training for just 10-min? Neither have I.
But, in an effort to fit all my priorities into my day, I'm giving it a shot. It's a technique called cluster training that I'm experimenting with. It goes like this:
Take roughly 85% of your 5RM and do as many mini-sets of 2-3 reps in 10-min as possible. That's it.
Yesterday I gave it a shot with deadlift. I have nothing to report other than it felt awesome to get in a BUNCH of heavy reps all smashed into such a compressed timeframe.
I'm looking to improve my distance running performance and am embarking on a very aerobic building period for the next 12-weeks. I need to limit anaerobic activity to the minimum... let's see if this is a productive minimum effective dose.
